Hey everyone, I’m Kyle Martin Cora, a saxophonist and composer currently residing in the greater Seattle area. Thank you for considering me as your teacher! I graduated from Central Washington University in 2016 with one degree in music education and one in saxophone performance, and I know my way around a clarinet as well. From years of varied study, I’m incredibly familiar with both the classical and jazz sides of the saxophone. My playing has been described as pure, eclectic and adventurous.
In addition to being a frequent performer, I’m an active composer for concert halls and video games as well. I’ve even combined my performance and composition abilities by premiering my own works at a national saxophone convention. My primary saxophone teachers include Forest Fisher, Joe Brooks, Collin Wilson, and Adam Pelandini. Through their expertise I now bring you my own. I approach teaching music through not only technical ability, but also through history and philosophy as well, with the goal of helping others to understand their own musical self.
