Testimonials
James Howard is the rare combination of a master guitarist who is also a patient teacher. I’ve never taken lessons before and within a short time I’m able to play songs and have progressed farther and faster than I thought possible.

Mr. Howard is wonderful! My 11 year old son just started guitar lessons and he is really learning a lot. He really relates to kids, doesn’t push hard, but does encourage and gives praise. This is the first thing my son actually wants to practice willingly and loves being able to show new songs weekly that he has learned! Mr. Howard knows each kid is different and learns at different rates. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great guitar teacher!

Thank you James for all that you are doing for my son. He is so driven with playing the guitar, practicing sometimes 3 hours per day. The gift of music has changed his life, so much so, now his twin brother has shown quite a bit of interest in learning.

James is a fantastic guitar teacher who takes a thoughtful, history driven approach to learning. He blends music theory with practical application in a way that feels both structured and inspiring, helping students work on songs that match their skill level and musical interests. He’s incredibly patient and provides clear, focused feedback that truly drives progress. Working with James has been a game changer for me—it’s kept me accountable and, more importantly, reignited a genuine joy for playing guitar that I hadn’t felt in years.
