Music has been the central passion in my life since I was able to reach the keys on the family piano. I started saxophone and clarinet in middle school, where I quickly developed a passion for jazz that led to me to studying music at the University of Washington. After graduation I played professionally for a variety of groups, including playing on a track that was featured on a nationally released Starbucks feature CD that rose to number one on the Billboard Jazz Charts. I’ve had the pleasure of studying and performing with Marc Seales, Michael Brockman, Brian Cobb, Randy Brecker, Terrell Stafford, Ingrid Jensen, Ernie Watts and many more. I currently perform with several groups around the Seattle area, and compose music for television and video games professionally. My music philosophy is that discipline and musicianship follow musical passion and joy. In order to develop the former, you must cultivate the latter.
