Bailey Milano (She/They) is a Welsh musician, author, and music educator with over 20 years of drumming experience and 25 years of musical experience across a variety of genres. As a music educator, her passion is in helping students fall in love with music through a way that helps them feel empowered, welcomed, and excited to play!
Bailey has a lifetime love and admiration for music that covers live performance and album production across genres. Her experience spans both digital and live performances, including live performance in United Kingdom (UK) venues such as Clwb Ifor Bach and Fuel in Cardiff or The Fleece in Bristol, solo producing and mastering her own multi-track album, and providing digital instrument and sound mixing support for other musicians’ live performances.
She has spent time as both a student and volunteer tutor at the Rock School in the UK, helping children of all ages learn all aspects of playing music—including how bands communicate and plan/organize events together. Since moving to the United States in 2024, she’s also volunteered with Kaleidoscope’s annual Summer Rock Camps, taking on similar responsibilities within the Issaquah community.
As a drummer, Bailey’s focus is on technique, precision, and fun—a trio that she believes makes the foundation for happy exploration of music! She strives to give students a strong foundation that will let them explore different styles and musical genres to their heart’s content, from the thundering double bass pedals of Heavy Metal to the foot-tapping rhythms of Rock & Roll, and even to the ecstatic exploration of time signatures in Progressive Rock and Jazz.
Bailey strives to help musicians foster a strong, personal love for performing and playing. Her goal is to help students find their spark, and to support their drive to learn, play, and stay curious. She works to create a welcoming space where all musicians feel appreciated and respected, whether they join a band for community and friendship, are looking to hone their skills, or simply enjoy being the rhythmic backbone for songs. Lesson plans and teaching styles are tailored to teach technique while embracing each musician’s individual needs, strengths, and personal interests through a fun-focused “bring your favorite songs to learn” approach.
