Music is a wonderful gift in life. Therefore, my goal is to help students come to understand and appreciate various genres of music and engage in playing music as a lifelong enjoyment.

I graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music majoring in Clarinet performance. I started playing piano when I was eight years old and continued throughout college. I have been teaching clarinet and piano for over 20 years. During those years, I had opportunities to perform with the SF Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, at the intermission of San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco Mozart Summer Festival, and made recordings with the Watchtower Society Orchestra in New York, as well as many Chamber Music Concerts in the SF Bay Area. I was also a recipient of the King County Arts Commission to perform Chamber Music Concert Series in the greater Seattle area.

Over the years, I have taught students of all ages from 4 to 75 years old. Many of my students participate in their school bands and local youth symphony orchestras. Some of my clarinet students are currently members of Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestras and Washington State Honor Band. In 2020, one of my clarinet students won the MTNA Washington State Junior Woodwind Competition.

To ensure my students have a well rounded education in music, I usually incorporate music theory, famous composers and music history in the lessons. My students have the opportunity to perform twice a year in recitals,  participate in the Music Artistry Program which is the piano evaluation program with the Washington Music Teachers Association, piano or woodwinds Music Festival Program, and Solo Ensemble program in public schools.
