I started my musical journey in the 70’s. I was raised on Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac—to mention a few. My teenage mother listened to music all day every day, on vinyl, 8-track and the radio. My first concert was in 1980 in Lubbock, Texas: Blackfoot and Def Leppard.
I call it a musical journey because I’ve sought the feeling and the emotion in music to get me through life. Without it I’d be lost! Every dream, every coffee shop, every car, job, relationship and achievement I’ve experienced has involved music. It’s a reality; it’s important to our culture, history, commercially and artistically.
I’ve played in the Pacific Northwest for the last 30 years. I studied composition and double bass performance at BC and Seattle Central, playing bass in jazz ensembles and singing in choirs. As a classically trained bassist and vocalist, I’ve played hundreds of shows of contemporary and classical music. I’ve recorded seven albums of original material, including a solo record.
